Happy New Year!

A little early, but nonetheless, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I have not yet announced this blog to my wider group of family and friends, but 100% intend to early in the new year. My continued website and blog development will be one of my new year’s resolutions, alongside working on a career transition, and getting out there to do some more travelling! The list of possible destinations as things stand is: Grindelwald or Interlaken in Switzerland, somewhere yet to be decided in Lanzarote, Czech capital Prague, and (if I am feeling brave enough) perhaps even somewhere in the US or Canada.

As lovely as the UK can be, it would be nice to see more of the world

This is not to say that I am bored of the UK – I still have plenty of places to visit in my own country. I may tick a couple of these off the list in 2024, watch this space. In terms of my strongest motivations though, the US has a particular pull to it, although I am definitely apprehensive about visiting the place solo (this would be my first long distance trip outside of Europe!) Whether I can muster up the courage to do something about this in 2024 is yet to be seen, but in the meantime I would love to hear reader’s thoughts, suggestions, and maybe even words of encouragement!

Archie certainly likes his UK adventures!

I am expecting these next couple of weeks to be relatively busy, from social events, to the long-awaited sale of my flat and everything that this entails, to my continued work on a change of career, therefore, I may not be posting or updating my website as much as I would have liked to. Rest assured however, that I will get back onto this as soon as life has calmed down again and I am able to focus a bit better!

To end this short but sweet post, a simple question to my readers, current and future: what are your travel plans for 2024? Will you be embarking on a cultural city break in Europe, sipping cocktails on a sun-soaked beach resort in the Caribbean, or exploring new frontiers in the great outdoors?

Hopefully your cocktails will look a bit more appetizing than this one
