Plans for Prague!

It has been a while since I last made a blog post – life has gotten busier since my return from Canada and I am currently trying to figure out how I will be able to juggle everything once I am also back to my accounting studies and work! I have, however, found the time to book a little mid-week trip to Prague at the end of August, and I cannot wait! Unlike my trip to Canada, this will be a far more chilled break. I will doubtless do a lot of walking still, but I will be firmly rooted in one location rather than rushing around the country trying to see everything!

Prague is a place that I have wanted to visit for quite a while now. The must-sees for me so far are Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, the Astronomical Clock, the Church of Our Lady before Týn, and St. Vitus Cathedral. I would also like to see a couple of museums – the Museum of Communism being one of these, with the rest still to be decided! I may also book up a tour or two – the hop on hop off bus tour of the city is a must for me! I will be staying centrally, so will hopefully be able to fit everything in during my 4 night stay, including a bit of retail therapy in the nearby Palladium shopping centre!

I would love to hear my reader’s experiences and thoughts on Prague – where would you recommend for sightseeing/things to do? How easy is it to get around the city, and would you recommend a particular form of transport? I will hopefully post to my blog a couple more times before my trip so until then, carry on dreaming lovely travel dreams!
