All being well, I will be off to Slovenia (again) next month 😊
This will be my third trip to Slovenia, and this time, I will be exploring a bit more of the Lake Bled/Bohinj/Triglav National Park area. On the itinerary is of course Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, which I have visited previously on a day trip during my Slovenia/Croatia holiday of 2017. I would also like to visit Lake Jasna this time, and go on a hike/bike/swim or two in the region. I’m a little afraid of heights, so not sure if an excursion up a mountain will happen (let’s see how brave I am feeling once I am there!) Vintgar Gorge also looks stunning, so we may well pay a visit. My to do list is currently….
- Lake Bled (again)
- Lake Bohinj (again)
- Lake Jasna
- Hikes and bikes
- Vintgar Gorge
- Swim in a lake (or 2, or 3…)
- Try a Bled cream cake (Blejska kremšnita)
- Sample more delicious local cuisine
- Visit a local spa
I am wondering if a visit to Bled Castle (Blejski Grad) is worth it? I am open to further recommendations of things to do in the Lake Bled area, so do let me know!
